Our editorial policy

• Every published pick is settled in public. Wins and losses both go on the accuracy record. We do not delete losing picks and we do not edit a pick after kick-off.
• Reasoning is always shown. A pick with no stated reasoning is indistinguishable from a guess, so we do not publish them.
• Confidence is stated honestly. When we are barely better than guessing, the confidence marker says so.
• We do not publish what we have not checked. Where we have not verified a paybill, minimum stake or bonus figure, the page says we have not verified it instead of quoting a plausible number. Wrong deposit details cost readers real money.
• No slip is published unresearched. If a round has not been analysed, the page says so rather than showing filler.

What we will never publish

• “Sure wins”, “guaranteed” odds or fixed matches. These do not exist. Every offer of them we have examined in Kenya is a scam, and we explain the mechanics of those scams rather than joining in.
• Crash-game predictors, hacks or signals. They are mathematically impossible and the apps are typically malware. See our page on why.
• Pages designed to look like an operator. Our operator guides carry a clear not-affiliated notice, never imitate an operator's branding, and never show a login or registration form. We will never ask for a betting PIN or an M-Pesa PIN, because we have no use for one.
• Betting framed as income. It is not one. The maths runs the other way, which is how bookmakers exist.

How we make money

Natybet is free to read, and it is funded by commercial arrangements with licensed Kenyan operators. When you open an account through a link on this site, we may be paid. Every one of those links is labelled as a commercial link at the point you see it, and they are the only way this site earns anything — we do not sell tips, we do not run a paid group, and we take no money from readers.

Here is the part that actually matters, because it is the part every affiliate site glosses over. What an operator pays has no effect on how we rank it. Our comparison pages rank on licensing status, M-Pesa deposit and withdrawal reliability, minimum stakes and how heavy the app is on a cheap Android phone — criteria we publish at the top of each page so you can disagree with them. Bonus size is deliberately not a criterion, and neither is commission.

The obvious question is why you should believe that. The honest answer is that you should not simply take our word for it — you should check the work. The criteria are stated openly, the reasoning behind every pick is published, and our accuracy record shows the losses. A site that ranks by commission has to hide its criteria; we would rather hand you the means to catch us.

We also still refuse to publish things that would earn well. Bonus tables with inflated headline figures convert better than an honest explanation of rollover requirements. Predictor content earns very well indeed. We do not publish either, and that is the real test of whether an editorial policy means anything.

Analysis is published by The Natybet Desk. Our background is in football research and data analysis rather than tipping, which is probably visible in how much time we spend on what we do not know.

Corrections

If we have published something inaccurate — a wrong paybill, an out-of-date stake limit, a factual error in a guide — please tell us and we will correct it and note the correction. Accuracy on the practical details is the part of this site where a mistake does real damage, so we take reports of it seriously.
