Why a jackpot payout works differently

The four ordinary causes of a delay

Reading the deduction correctly
A bet slip shows the total return, which is stake × odds and already includes your stake coming back. Withholding tax applies to the winnings portion — the amount above the stake — rather than to the gross payout.

Two networks, one registered line
Because SportPesa supports Airtel Money as well as M-Pesa, it is worth being clear that this does not give you two destinations. Withdrawals return to the line the account is registered to, whichever network that is — and an account opened on a number you have since given up produces a problem that only surfaces at exactly this point.
