Why we will not quote you a percentage

How the edge is built into a crash curve

A crash game does not have odds in the sports-betting sense. It has a distribution: the probability that a round survives past any given multiplier. A fair distribution with no edge would give you exactly a 50% chance of reaching 2x, a 10% chance of reaching 10x, and so on — a 1/x curve.
